My father passed last week. He had just bought a gun I had never heard of. A Winchester 70 super grade from the 80's he said. It's in 257 Roberts and had a brass disk in butt stock. I can't remember exactly what it said, but something collectors society. Any ideas? I want have it for a couple weeks. Ps: featherweight

Sounds like the Winchester Arms Collectors' Association edition. Made in 1985, it is a pretty small edition. When I have seen them for sale, they have been pretty expensive. $2000 or $3000 as I recall. I don't follow the newer guns but they seem to have a pretty good interest from collectors but I don't know if what they really sell for.

$3800 does sound crazy but who knows. Go over to the WACA website and see if you can get more info. Might even see if there's a buyer there if you're inclined to sell
