Thank you for being a gentleman CEJ1895.

May you be blessed, for paying it forward.

Thanks, I appreciate it, I hope he likes it and it gets there in one piece!

It's here!

I snuck a peek, he is going to LOVE it!

Super nice glass! Wow!

I wrapped it back up, wow he's going to love that.

I guess I'll be mounting it to his Tikka tonight! grin

Me too!

He's always liked hunting. But now that he has that card, it's like someone flipped a switch. He's gone nuts about it.

I had a 2yr old 8pt on cam last year. He had a chunk out of his hide from what looks like a missed bow shot. We named him "Lumpy" because before we could see what it was, it looked like he had a lump on his side, not hide tore off.

Well he's all in on "Lumpy" now. He doesn't care that there was a 140" 10pt that is in the same area unless he got hit by a car. I had him in Januaray and Feb on the cams.

But mostly I hear "I'm going go shoot the first deer I can that doesn't have spots. If it's a buck, you're going to have it mounted dad."

grin

His excitement is through the roof...which is catchy as hell. He's making me excited!

Ditto! grin

And that is pretty cool of you CEJ1895! The only scope I have to donate is a 4-12x40 Simmons but I'm afraid the donee would smack me over the head with it. I HATE that scope! lol

I'm glad you like it! Please call me Chuck, CEJ1895 seems so formal between friends! Ask your dad if he needs a set of 308 win dies for your rifle, I've got a set of Reddings that I no longer have a rifle for..

I will have to check my dies, I think I may have .308 dies but I'm not certain.

Dave, I think you should bring that boy out here to kill a doe this fall. I might know of some good hunting.....

Well, that's pretty cool right there! Good on ya CEJ1895!

The young man has a smile that won't go away for a very long time. It looks like the only time things get serious is when his eyeball is lookin' down those crosshairs. Priceless!

ND-

Federal, Hornady, and Remington all have reduced recoil 308s. We recommend them to the parents of our more slightly statured Hunter Safety students.

Man, take a look at that kid's face light up as he looks at that scope. He's got the eyes of the hunter Dave. You guys will be eating some venison this fall. Congrats to Joey, and good luck this fall to all the 'Buckers.

hard to believe how old joey is getting! That smile is great! Was a rough weekend for me, Father in law passed away last week and will be very missed. He bought my 3 kids there first deer rifles and was there when they all got there first deers and helped them gut them all. Nothing better than to get the kids out hunting. It really was one of his passions. This year will be very hard on the kids but, just 2 weeks ago a couple of them got to help make some veni summer sausage so I hope they have it down. I smoked it and it turned out great even being my first time. We did some clay pigeons with all his grand kids sunday after the funeral and some shooting of the .22's as well. We even got grandma to pull the trigger a couple times for pigeons. First time ever shooting I think. Was a relaxing moment for me to see. Sorry for the Rant.
