I traded for a blue Interarms ppk/s .380 awhile back and I am considering trading/selling it now but the auction site prices are all over the place. ($400 - $700)
Any thoughts as to the "real world" trade/sell value on these guns? It is in very good shape..I've put exactly 50 rounds through it and the fellow I got it from bought it new in the '80's and said he probably didn't have a box through it.
Thanks, Mike

as an aside a grandson brought over a couple of boxes of .380buffalo bore ammo. hisbrother fired some of that in a u.s. made interarms, and blew the extractor. Try finding one, not easy and not cheap. it's a pretty little pistol, that's good for looking at. lots of stuff on the net about them. I think they were made in georgia by the way.

Took it to a gun show today looking for a trade but didn't really find anything interesting. I did have a dealer tell me the Walther was worth about $250 and offered me $200 cash.
I think it is worth more than that but if not I traded a 10/22 and a brick of ammo for it so I am not out much if it is only worth $250.
I've read up on them since acquiring it and haven’t see many negative comments about the USA made Interarms guns…seeing plenty of negatives about the S&W models.

...unfortunately what you have read about the USA made guns is correct. Had a friend who loved them and completely wore out a stainless one...he then bought a German made Interarms marked gun which served him well till he died.
The little TPH .22 was a wonderful and relaible gun when it was made in W. Germany...they were blue only. After they could no longer be imported Interarms started making stainless ones here...and they were such a disaster that later when S&W took over production and repair when one would send one back they would simply send you a check back because it was not worth their time to try and repair something that could never properly function. A friend has one that is a jam-a-matic but won't ever send it in for repair...
If you can not deal with reality, reality will deal with you....

i keep saying extractor when i mean ejector: this site might give you an idea. grandson is coming over tomorrow and i have some stuff for him to look at. like average for a 95grain bullet in 380 is about 950fps. That buffalo bore is labeled close to 1200fps and that is a big part of it snaping. I was impolite and mentioned in the manual it says to use regular ammo only. https://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198

I've had a couple of Interarms PPK's and mine worked just fine with FMJ ammunition.

I ended up selling the gun for $450 on day two of the gun show and the fellow who bought it seemed to think he got a good deal.
i didn't put a lot of rounds through it but Fmj and Hornady critical defense didn't have any issues. The slide chewed the heck out of my hand though and I knew I would not shoot it much.
