I have a Caldwell Full Length Fire Control Rest that is strictly used for sighting in. It saves time and money. I don't notice a shift in POI which I attribute to the stock being against my shoulder, not like with a led sled. With it you also don't have to worry about cracked stocks and broken scopes.
Don't roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

I bought a used one from a local kid for $25. I used it once. If it was made of lead I might have gotten my moneys worth.

shooting 'less', don't make you 'more' better...... Shooting more and slinging em all over don't either.

Why would you want to use a lead sled in the first place? Good way to ruin a good scope and crack wood stocks, Seen alot of scopes come apart with useing them, that includes leupolds.

Shooting off the bench is a skill too and needs practice imo.Why not practice with a smaller chamberings that you can use in the field? It seems to me we want gadgets to replace skill and this is kinda sad.If you fear your rifles recoil find one that you can shoot off the bench ,off a rock, offhand and hanging from your toes.Just my opinion

Several years back I watched a guy snap the wrist off a Mark V .300 Weatherby using a lead sled. I was on the bench next to him and was keeping an eye on him because he did not seem too comfortable with his rifle and was shooting very poorly.
I could not see where he was using the sled in any manner for which it was not intended. The sled appeared to be doing it's job well right up until it didn't.
