I am amazed every time I see a post about ads. I would have thought everyone would already know how to fix the problem.

Don't know how they appear on regular computers, but I use an iPad and they come up on the top and sides of the screen, not over the text window.

I just started using Firefox for ios because Safari has started "losing" the Javascript bit somewhere, which means that operations requiring the plugin may or may not work at random, regardless of the setting. Firefox has a popup blocker which works pretty well on Drudge and other sites that get bombed with ads that slow down response.

I never cared much for Jeff Goldblum as it is, but now that he's peddling his azz for commercials, I like him less, although at least he's not pushing reverse mortgages or adult diapers.

I'm no computer expert by any means, and I believe I politely asked on here how to hook up Ad Blocker Plus. I've never had any issues with these pop ups everyone complains about, but I'm working off a desktop computer. I don't know if it's different from I Pads, phones, etc. If you don't have Ad Blocker Plus and can get it, it will solve this problem immediately.

Hate that pop up crap. When one pops up on my I Phone, I turn phone off. Dont ever click on it even to cancel. I finally stopped all that cshit.

I just bought and installed Weblock, which cuts 'em off at the wifi apparently. Jeff's gone.
