I posted this on another site.

Is it legal and possible to have night vision goggles and a rifle mounted UV laser sight? Seems that would be a nice set up for hunting varmints at night.

All that equipment seems complicated to me.

What's the simplest and least expensive way to do something like that?

Would like some advice, thoughts on how this could be done. I sorta get lost reading about all the night vision gadgets now on the market, unable to decide on the best option.

Simplest way is to use a night vision clip on unit. Keep you rifle and scope as mounted and zeroed. Just add a NV unit that clips on to a attachment on the objective.

Clip it on and take it off as needed. Never lose the ability to keep your rifle a dedicated day or night setup. Great system if you do not wanted a dedicated night rifle.

Is it legal? That depends upon your state and what your hunting.

Economical and night vision are not two things that should ever be used in the same sentence!!! Clip ons are the best way to go but no night vision is cheap, at least any that actually work.
