I have a Lipseys Ruger No.1 stainless/walnut in .250 Savage. I was wondering if the No.1 was ever chambered in any other Savage calibers, or was this the only one/only time? Regards, 21

This the .250 is the only one to see any production run. I guess it's possible that someone had a .300 Savage, or a .22 High Power built, but not in any quantity.

Hmmm, an A model in .300 Savage sounds buildworthy.

.300 notwithstanding, a .22 hi-power would sell out to the Savage 99 freaks (of which I'm one), in any iteration of the No. 1. The ammo is still available, in a European designation, 5.6x52mmR. It'll never happen though........
