That's what our sunrises/sunsets looked like around here last year with fires going all around the state. Clear skies this year. Nice shot.

"Settings?" Sorry, I had to chuckle at that. It's a Cannon SX30 IS automatic. It has manual settings...but I don't use them coz I'm a lazy slug who just points and shoots. I think the deep red has something to do with the camera choosing the best display and going with it.

It has a wonderful zoom.

I shot the moon the other night from the deck, just holding the darn thing free hand. Not the best photograph...but as close to a telescope as you can get in a camera that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It could have been better with a tripod. The shutter speed seemed like close to a second.
