Very good as CCW in a Galco Combat Master holster and resulting targets looks as though a target pistol shot them. Shew me thy ways, O LORD: teach me thy paths. They are high quality, accurate reliable pistols that will give you a lifetime of service. I am a 1911 fan but a P220 goes to the range every time and one is in my carry rotation. The P220 and I have had a long love affair going back to Browning imported BDA in the late 1970's. Beware SIG's can be addictive. StarchedCover Semper Fi

I've had and still have a long list of handguns (at least for me) and the 220 is the best of them all. Glock Ruger XD's Kahr Beretta FNP Some are better than others but the sig 220 is more accurate and feels better in the hand. But it is more $$$$$$ than the others by a good bit. I would not have got it but it was $250.00 off regular price. Great pistol!!!! At some point my hobbies became my life.

BamBam Campfire Regular B Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 1,943 PA	I have a west German 220 and a 220-R. The 220 has been flawless extremely accurate and the pleasure to shoot. The 220-R I had two failures to eject on the second magazine fired out of the gun, after that I never had a problem . They both carry well in the VM II.

Best way i can describe it is handing it to my then grandson who at the time was about 16, never fired a .45acp before. He dumped a mag into the space of about half a hand at ten yards. They are well designed guns, even the firing pin is tapered to prevent powder residue from coming back in the firing pin channel. Easy to take down and clean, utterly reliable. Only issue i ever had was loading some 200gr H&G68swc's a little to far out, and they were hanging up going into chamber. A reloading error, not the guns fault. Other than that one booboo, has ate everything i put in it. I bought it originally for the double action, which was somewhat of a rarity at the time. Also for being left handed, and it did not have a typical 1911safety on it. It's sitting on my desk right now, loaded with some of those awful flying ashtray's and power pistol.
