It would be nice if most all of the members of the campfire were as well. Well, we have a few embarrassments, but the vast majority are good, solid gun loving types. DJTJR is welcome here... I like his style and the fact he and Eric are BG hunters. I read they learned that from their maternal grandfather, Ivana's Dad, in Czechoslovakia with whom they spent their summers. The old man was evidently a real sportsman, had a cabin in the woods, taught his young grandsons woodsmanship, hunting, shooting and fishing. It stayed with them. Don Jr. reportedly has a hunting/shooting property in upstate NY, spends as much time as he can up there. I'm sure he's otherwise occupied at present... We gotta get his Dad elected...!! DF

Looks like he got a pretty nice bighorn in Alaska a while back. Some good pics to go along with the thread. I wonder what that rifle he's using is? It's got a long box magazine hanging out the bottom of it. He talks about it a bit in the thread but doesn't say what it is,...says it's his backup. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f92/headed-ak-75927/ 338 edge. 300 rum necked up to 338. been a member of that site since before i found the fire.

You don't raise kids like that being a phony; they know and you can't fool them...  I give their Mom and Czech Grandfather a lot of credit, too. They learned to speak the language, sharp boys. And, their Dad had them operating heavy equipment on various job sites. Don Jr. said he was about as comfortable operating a D-10 Caterpillar as driving his car. DF
