Gemby I'm not sure. I am thinking straight but now that you ask I honestly cannot recall. Would the serial number help in determining that?
Kenlguy. Involves a treeing walker, late night and a reluctant raccoon!!
I've had this rifle 35ish years. It's been thrown out of a truck window twice ( yes many years ago when my judgement was less sound) left hidden in a culvert for a week. Used as a dog training tool, dispatched more treed and trapped game animals than you can imagine. Drug through more brush, bad places, used as a wading staff and a walking stick. Dead nuts accurate and just of all the guns I own it is my most treasured.
Bluing wore off and I painted it gloss black from a spray bomb to boot.
I will check out the added link and if no success am gonna bite the bullet and buy that expensive one on EBay.
