Should've posted this first, but hey was a semi-impulse buy. Seems like a pretty decent gun, action is smooth, machining looks very clean, love the raised rib, fits me very well, etc. - very similar to my Benelli SBE.
Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, hope to this weekend!
Have any experience, thoughts, etc.?

It's a benelli action....basically it's the M2 in a cheaper guise...great guns

I bought a youth model for my daughter a few years ago. It hasn't missed a beat. My only complaint is that it's hard to load rounds into the mag tube. I'm about to remedy that.

I'm going to remove the (I think it's called the carrier latch), place it in a vice and gently bend it to have less tension. I've heard that works.

I have been told (repeatedly) that these are M2's but never believed it.
North 40 had them on sale and had one left yesterday. I started finger blasting it and said "This thing really is an M2!" The receiver being stamped 'Benelli Accokeek, MD' sealed the deal.
Now I have two of the best bird guns ever made.

Low blow! I'm in Montana bird hunting now and have to go back to Wi at some point.
Beretta trumps Benelli.

Travis Every Stoeger owner I've met says their gun is the same as a Benelli too. But all jokes aside, there is a YouTube video where a guy pulls an Affinty and an M2 apart and compares them. The only major difference is that the M2's spring is in the stock and the Affinity's is in the forearm. I think I'll pick one up for a backup.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

So here is a related question. I had purchased the Affinity Compact and at the same time purchased the full size stock for it. I went to change the adjustable stock that came on the gun to the full size version. All was well but the full size stock has a considerable step off down to the receiver. At least a couple of millimeters. Would not affect function but looks crappy and makes a noticeable "rough" area right where your back hand is. Anyone know if that is just the way it is or if there is supposed to be some type of spacer or something for the step down from stock to receiver?

Nothing like that in the one I purchased, not a compact though.

It almost seems that there should be a spacer of some sort. Sent a email to Franchi customer service but that might take a couple of days. Even the Franchi website videos talk about the ability to change out to the full size stock but they don't really show it after the switch.
