I am looking at this gun locally. Little concerned because the barrel measures 23 1/2 inches from the muzzle to the receiver and I read that it is 24 inches from the factory. Is 24 inches from the muzzle to the threads or receiver ? I'll appreciate any help as I am meeting the seller tomorrow. Thank you.

Don't forget the other 1/2" screwed in to the receiver. A 25 06 No. 1-V sounds good to me. Pictures required. By the way, you'll get more play on this in the Single Shot forum on Campfire.
