I'll start. It really is a special place. Sure, it has its ups and downs, it spits in spats, and its snarky malarkey, but I don't know of another forum that affords its members the kind of freedom to say what they want and largely self police themselves. It's a double edged sword, but that's the price you pay for freedom. The vast majority of the guys on this forum are first class. They're always available to lend a hand or advice or shoot you a thoughtful PM when one of life's tragedies lands in your lap.

I have been on other hunting and shooting sites where no one responds.

Kinda hard to participate.

Where else can you converse about hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, politics, religion, etc, AND catch an occasional freak show?

I come here mainly for the safariman debacles.

Oh yeah, and to study the 99 Savage, and this is where the masters reside.

* There's a wealth of knowledge here... buried under an Everest of [fecal material]. For those with the fortitude to sift through it, there's quite a bit to be gained.

* There are tremendous members here (see caveat above). I've had the opportunity to meet & hunt with almost a plethora of them. I'll publicly claim that I'd meet/hunt with all of them again.

I come her to "read" Walt's threads, watch hot girls crush watermelons with their thighs, and buy expensive shat I just have to have but will probably never use in the Free Classifieds.

I love it here!

I like it because I wouldn't be caught dead on Facebook and many here are just about as crusty as I am.

I like because we are so tolerant. Even .270 Win shooters are welcome!

Been hovering around the 50k member mark for a while. The adds must be more than some can bare.
