I'm used to bigger machines usually had a 600-700 Yamaha, or Kawi, and really appreciate the power. My machines were pretty decked, out, hot grips, Winch, big mud tires, etc. But retirement on a fixed income is holding me back right now. Anyone got one?

When I had my 660 grizzly, I rode with a buddy that had a 450 with stock tires. He went everywhere I went, but got stuck more (tires). We swapped machines for a few hours, and I couldn't tell any difference, which might just mean that I don't ride a wheeler enough to tell the difference.
We also used the same amount of fuel in a given day's riding, which surprised me.

I don't know how long they've made those 450s, but, aside from a couple problems due to their over-engineered features, ours never gave any serious trouble until 13,000 miles. I still don't know exactly what the problem is; don't be home long enough to sort it out, but I think is may be a stator problem (which also ruined the CDI). I have liked that machine better than any other ATV we've had or used.

How old?
They're great. I'd look for one from about 2010 or so on up. They have power steering. Never did give em fuel injection, so they're still a carb. Best cvt belt system in the business, great suspension, and bullet proof. What's not to like?

I have 2002 Yamaha Grizzly and it has been a great ATV. Had a valve job a few years back and it is in for a carb rebuild now (my fault, forgot to add fuel stabilizer!)I think I have close to 6000 miles on that bike and it is still holding together very well.

I believe it's a 2007 with less than 900 miles on it. Won't have PS which I would love but not willing to pay for the extra at this point. Thanks for the input.

I'd jump on that if the price is good! Buddy has one and its a friggin beast! Pretty much indestructible too.
