spent a bunch of today putting together furniture for my niece the new doctor. Big desk, with a cabinet back and numerous book shelves. Cleaned up all the mess and put away all my tools. On my deck watching a light rain turn into a fairly hard rain with a fresh growler of a great local stout and a good cigar. Feeling like I might live after spending two and a half days bedridden with real bad vertigo. Life is good again.

I am just back from four days with some 'fire members and friends of 'fire members giving a go at dove. I missed like hell, drank some beer, ate great food and talked and laughed a bunch. Now back home looking, as the hosting member said, to not going to work tomorrow. All in all, a nice time.

Sounds like a great time and missing doves is nothing to be ashamed of. Not having a single thing I have to do tomorrow is just icing on the cake. Heck, just being able to stand up without help feels great.

Only thing that help me when I had Vertigo was going for a ride on my motorcycle. Something about the speed, head bobbing around, airflow, seemed to cancel out the vertigo spinning and everything felt normal for a few minutes.

Vertigo is some bad juju..

Not sure that's a doctor recommended cure but pretty cool it worked and you survived. 👍

No way I could even stand let alone ride. Ever movement of my head had me fighting not to go into dry heaves. I am glad it is over but concerned enough I am going to se the VA ENTs. When I have an attack of Meniere's the world mover from my right to my left. The problem has always been in my left ear. This time it was almost blinding and the other direction. I am thinking I might loose both my inner ears. Makes hearing tricky.

Sounds good Scott, I was up and down a stepladder several times today hanging a new curtain rod and drapes over the patio sliders. Knees and back hurt so bad I took 100mg of Tramadol! Also required TWO trips to the Hdw store.

We had only one trip to the hardware store and were lucky enough to have one in walking distance of the new Doctor's office.

I have fun on good days and count my blessings. On bad days...

It seems like you make the best of the good times and endure the bad. The furniture assembly would have been a challenge for me at my best. You spent a lifetime developing those skills and you should be proud. I bet your daughter is proud of you.

That sounds pretty good. Got another chair? Will bring a growler.
