spent a bunch of today putting together furniture for my niece the new doctor. Big desk, with a cabinet back and numerous book shelves. Cleaned up all the mess and put away all my tools. On my deck watching a light rain turn into a fairly hard rain with a fresh growler of a great local stout and a good cigar. Feeling like I might live after spending two and a half days bedridden with real bad vertigo. Life is good again. That sounds pretty good. Got another chair? Will bring a growler. Got three more chairs and plenty of cigars. Bring a jacket and we'll have a blast.

Something happened yesterday when I got up. My back didn't want to! Drank a bunch of whiskey last night. Better today. Actually did some like chores.
We did have a cool front come thru. That might have something to do with it.

The doctors did not release me to work after my back injury, it took me five and a half years to get a faked work release, change states and get a job. My back still tells be when the weather is about to change. Back pain is just an old friend that tells me when I need to quit doing some things.

Yep getting old is a P I T A, but getting there is even worse!
Pain is now an old acquaintance mostly tolerated, sometimes a bit too much as I figure I can still do stuff I really can't.
Missed my evening toddy but the Tramadol did it's job.

Scott, this probably has no connection with your vertigo problem but just in case you might have Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo you might look at using the Epley Maneuver to relieve it. http://www.chiro.org/research/ABSTRACTS/Chiropractic_Management_of_Benign.shtml You probably already know about this, but just in case.....

Thanks but it is not what I have.Wish iw was. There is no known cure for Meniere's.

There are some meds and there is a surgical procedure that sometimes works (and has some serious potential for negavative side effects). I'm sure you know that though. You seem to do your homework.

As far as I know removal of the inner ear is the best hope. Not a real pleasant thought now that both ears seem to be involved. Plugging a box into your head in order to hear anything does not sound fun, no pun intended. No medications have helped so far.
