Thank you.
Phil's home burned to the ground in the wildfires last year. So, he is facing that major life challenge, but he is still making some knives. The edge retention on his knives is extraordinary - part design, part steel selection, and unparalleled heat treat. I need to start a thread on his work.
Ingram's work is top notch as well. Just different styles and feel to each.

Ingram's work is top notch as well. Just different styles and feel to each. I have 4-5 of Gene's along with a couple Geno Denning's and enjoy both makers work a lot. I did know about Phil's fire; we talked and emailed after the fire a few times but he never committed to building me a knife. A couple people said you had to really stay on him to build you a knife. That's not my style though.........

Phil made me one in about three weeks a couple of years ago. I happened to catch him before he sent out a few to heat treatment. I didn't care for it, can't recall the model but the blade was about 2" wide, he promised to make me a 3.5" B&T. I gave up checking up on it after the fire.

A 3.5" B&T would be great. Have him make two if you have the pull.....

Would you give the model for each of those starting at the top please?

Would you give the model for each of those starting at the top please? Small boner #4 b&t #7 drop point Bare bones I'm not sure what he calls the bottom one, I think pocket hunter. He made a few of these after his four wheeler accident to "practice" before he started back on his work log. He emailed me if I wanted any and I picked up a couple.

I only have the one by Gene. One of his fixed blade Sodbusters, made to my request, with an especially large handle. He called it the "big boy Sodbuster". It has done yeoman like work on both deer and hogs.

Third down from the top is an Ingram Bullnose. Use it often and really enjoy the design. What's the green handled knife?
