I'm not sure whether the Muslims are going to turn into Mormons or if unintended consequences takes 'hold and the Mormons turn into Muslims. Maybe they'll meet halfway and everybody there turns into Morlims.

Yemen is currently in a Civil War between the Saudi supported Sunni side and the Iranian supported Houthi (Shi'ite) side. It's been in an off-and-on Civil War since the early 1960's between various factions and supported by various outside countries. Heh, they are such fun loving folks: In 1978, The President of South Yemen (a dude named Rubai) sent a secret peace messenger to the President of North Yemen (a dude named al-Ghashmi). The messenger opened his brief case to give the North Yemen President the peace message. The briefcase blew up, killing both president and messenger. The South Yemen President was assassinated in a coup 3 days later. Currently the situation from our perspective is: 1) The Saudi's are our allies so we support the Sunni side. 2) But the Saudi's are funding radical Sunni Salafi's (Al Quaeda and their ilk) in the Sunni side, so we don't like the Sunni side. 3) But the Saudi's stirred up the Houthi's in the first place by mistreating them for being Shi'ite so we shouldn't support the Sunni side. 4) But the Saudi's are getting their butts kicked, so we need to support the Sunni side. 5) But the Houthi's are doing a good job of cleaning out the Salafi's so we like the Houthi's. 6) But the Iranians are heavily supporting the Houthi side so we cannot support them. 7) Mostly both sides are gleefully slaughtering non-combatants so we cannot support either side. 8) But Saudi exports lots of oil, so we should support them 9) But we are currently close to self sufficient in oil. 10) But our closest allies are not. 11) But the Iranians are looking at undermining Saudi and the US, so we need to support the Saudi's. 12) Mostly, though, everybody on both sides spends most of their time getting stoned on khat/qat. 13) I am unaware of any LDS/Mormon involvement. Point 11 is currently carrying the day.
