So my new pair of mountain extremes finally got broke in this summer and once they did I started getting a lot of heel slip. It was to the point of causing a blister.I emailed kenetrek to see if there was anything that could be done. They called me on the phone(amazing)and proceeded to tell me that if I mailed them in the would "rebuild" the boots to solve the problem.3 weeks later they are back at my house after extra material was sewn in the heels They also replaced the Rubber "rand" that wraps around the boot because they were not happy with the way it was wearing. Now I am sure that in true internet fashion someone will say "if you would have bought X boot none of this would be necessary but I just wanted to say here that it was refreshing to deal with a company that stands behind their product. Customer service appears to be alive and well at Kenetrek.Ill stick with them simply because of it.

Nice to see a company stand behind their product.

I fortunately have not needed their customer service yet, but I have several pairs of their boots and their gators and am VERY happy with them

I wish they could figure out how to mail a 1/2 ounce pair of show laces for less than $12. I recently tried to order a pair for my Hardscrables and got choked up when told the shipping cost was $12. I suggested dropping them in an envelope and sending via USPS at $0.47 but no dice. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

And now you know what it feels like ordering stuff from the lower 48 while living in AK. Makes a guy feel like you do. Too bad these companies can't be a bit more flexible on shipping. We get bent over on a regular basis up here😀

I had a somewhat similar experience with a pair of Mountain Extremes but, unfortunately, I didn't fully diagnose the problem before a backcountry hunt. I wrote them a note when I got home and they traded them out for a brand new pair since they'd changed the last. I've never worn them since I had such a painful experience with the previous pair but their customer service is excellent.
