One good thing about 'Small town, USA', we probably dont have 500 voters in this precinct, so waiting has never been over 10 min. or so. And, if I get there to vote and there is more than 3 or 4 people ahead of me, I just walk back to the house and try again in a little while.

More voters this time. When I left a t 10.00 one could walk right in.
The only thing ……..for early voting must use touch screen.

I would think the record early voting crowds are probably a plus for Trump, despite what the media says.
We vote at the Oyster Creek (Texas) courthouse, right across the road from my house. No need to vote early to beat the crowd, never a wait, not that many people here to have to vote.

can somebody 'splain to me why some states offer this early voting? i know about absentee voting but why the early voting for normal residents?

I was like the only milk in the whole bowl of raisins. And because I know someone will be say it, I voted for Clinton because I knew she'd be easier to beat. REALLY wish everyone else had done so in the primaries that year.
