Saturday morning, we'll be trying to put the smack down on 'em & putting eat on the pole. Bigger bucks are starting to fill out, for sure. No real rut activity yet, rubs & scrapes are starting to show up. Excited !

he's actually a 10. Got crab claws on both beams. I've got a better pic somewhere. Decent brows too, with added junk at the bases.

Strange you say that Dave.
I've had that one for years, & think of it as my best camera. It does chew through the batteries in the old though. I'm already going through 8aa energizer industrial batteries a week & it's not cold yet !
Also have 2 stealthcams that suck dogs balls. Very sucky trigger speeds. Lots of arse ends or photos with no animals !

Paul,
I have 2 Wildgame 8x black out or something like that. I have one Primos Truth Cam 46, and 1 Primos 2 (new this year).
The older Primos 46 takes great pics but after the first picture the time/date/temp all read 0.
I like the Wildgame's a lot. My only complaint is the 1 sec trigger speed. So if a deer moves through, I don't get a full pic unless it's standing.
So far I've only checked the SD card from the Primos 2 one time. But, I was impressed with it. I'll let you know more this weekend when I switch them all out.
They all use 8 AA batteries. They all last the entire year with them. They've been taking anywhere from 100 - 700 pictures a week.

Cheers T, Couple more, first 2 from same stand, after I changed the batteries last week & didn't realize the time/date reset. This one is from Joe's stand across the road. & 2 crappy stealthcam pics from my stand in the Tamarac swamp.

I've had that one for years, & think of it as my best camera. The Canadian version must be better than the U.S. version. I will never waste money on another Moultrie. Nice bucks! I hope you get to see the insides of 'em!

I had to let a big one walk on Sunday. Probably 135" He was 35 yards and wouldn't stop walking. I'm stoked for getting back out there after this weekend. Maybe tomorrow if the stars align with work.

It's getting clooooooser.
The chatter around the office is starting a bit. I may or may not have something to do with it. But there is more than one conversation about stand placement, sign shooting, doe permits, no rut sign other than mine I left...

I shot the rifles at Oakdale today. Even in this crappy weather, they were fairly busy. They said it was nuts out there last weekend. Oh yeah, it's on baby. I shot a couple of MILES58's coveted handloads through my 99 at 100 yards. I had to go out and check the target to make sure it had two holes in it. Two holes touching, 1 inch high at 100 yards and right on top of each other. Thanks again to MILES58 for cooking up such a scary accurate load for my beloved 99. My ugly old Mauser was right on too. Ugly old gun just keeps killing stuff.

Sorry to hear about the lack of fuzzy wind chimes at Chickenbuck. I tried but couldn't get away for an evening. I will for sure during regular season. My new employee is a real slave driver. Did you see any? The deer are nuts a little west of there. Speaking of shooting ranges... I sure do like the 360* range by my place. I never even have to wait in line unless the kid or my lady friend wants a turn.

Jackhammer's football team played in the semi-finals last night. They played a team that beat them earlier in the season 48-12. Centennial 6th grade boys showed em what's up last night. They beat them in OT 18-12.
Mini man made 3 key tackles during the game, so that was pretty cool. Two of them were stopping the extra point attempts up the middle. The third one was on a 4th and 2. He made the tackle at the line of scrimmage to turn the ball over to the good guys.
The running backs were great behind some great blocking as well. It was a fun, high energy game!
Championship game is on Saturday morning at 10:30.
