These were the first 2 fire-form loads through this gun, after barrel break-in.

That'll work.

Congrats on a fine new rifle.

I do have a question. What made you go 240 over 6-06? Sure is a lot easier and less expensive to go the 6-06 route.

I thought about the 6mm-06 and even the Ackley Improved version of said cartridge, but at the time when I was contemplating this build, I picked up 500 pieces of new Norma 240 Weatherby Magnum brass, and that was the final deciding factor.

Bench rest accuracy, high velocity and almost no recoil, what's not to love about it?

I forgot to add that I only paid $100 for those 500 pieces of brass, and it was definitely the best hundred bucks I ever spent!

Ain't a brake guy...but nice...:)

Was pondering same. Have a 7 on a mag action and that seems like a better use for it down the road a bit.

I like muzzle brakes but hate the NOISE!

My reason for adding a muzzle brake to most all my guns, is because I am a long range hunter, and I like to be able to watch the bullet impact it's target through the scope.

Oh and a 1-10" twist long barrel with a brake. Poor choice on the build but he didn't know any better at the time.
