Mini man made 3 key tackles during the game, so that was pretty cool. Two of them were stopping the extra point attempts up the middle. The third one was on a 4th and 2. He made the tackle at the line of scrimmage to turn the ball over to the good guys.

The running backs were great behind some great blocking as well. It was a fun, high energy game!

Championship game is on Saturday morning at 10:30.

That is awesome T!

Our youngest is a senior linebacker. They had their first playoff game on Tuesday night and the kid was on fire. It seemed like almost every defensive play his name was being called for making the tackle or assisting on the tackle. He also had a forced fumble which we recovered and a QB sack to end the game at 42-22. Next game is Saturday at 2:00.

I told him Tuesday morning before school: "This is the playoffs now. Anything can happen. Go make memories and make plays tonight"

I guess he listened. smile

Everyday I tell the kids "be a leader today"

It was pretty cool seeing him counting the kids, moving them around to where they're supposed to be... I was smiling like heck.

I'll try to remember to film some of it. I was too caught up in it last night to even think about it. It was a great game, no matter who was playing. Hard hits, even for 6th graders.

Thank you! That's a very nice complement!

He would much rather have me talk about his first deer, which he hasn't shot yet! grin

Complete report is over in the Elk hunting section.

Shortly after this picture we crossed paths with a sow Grizzly and her cub heading for the gut pile.

Way to go TJay!

I bet that mama bear added a little pucker factor to your hunt!

If any of the Minnesota boys will be headed north on Hwy. 6 through Emily next Friday, stop in at the Lake Emily Resort to say "hi". I'll be arriving by about 10 a.m. and after lunch will go do a little scouting and grouse hunting. We're in the first cabin on the lakeside of the road. Lake Emily Resort is on the left side of Hwy 6 just as you get to the lake headed north on 6. Let me know you're stopping and I'll have the coffee on.

Good luck next weekend everyone.

Good luck to Dave and the Chickenbuckers next weekend. Joey's gonna notch a tag, if anyone does. Have fun and stay safe folks.

It's looking like warm weather for the opener next weekend boys. Extended forecast calls for temps in the low 60's. I hate hunting in hot weather like that.

Checked the cams today after spending a couple weeks in the cities with new grandkids. Looks like I won't be napping in the stand on Saturday.
