So, I moved to Libby, MT in April of last year after spending 24 years in Alaska. I was able to apply for a MT elk permit this year and scored a either sex permit for unit 340 north of Dillon.
I haven't hunted elk in at least 25 years. I feel like a kid getting ready for his first hunt all over again. This is a party hunt with my cousin, his son, and a family friend. We plan on heading out on Nov. 7th for a week.
