I remember it was a big deal when microwave ovens came out. Very scary....grin.
We had one corded phone, with the circular finger dial, and a party line. Had to recognize your own ring.

We had a tv antenna on the hilltop behind the house, picked up one tv station, I think it was from Billings.
TV went off the air around midnight, after playing the National Anthem.
TV was a 13" Zenith, black and white.

LOL. When my mom got her Microwave my aunt came to the house and was telling my mom that microwave food was going to kill us because it would still be cooking in our bellies while we were eating it.

Right hand thread lug nuts on the right side of cars, Left hand on left side. On Chrysler products only as I recall. How about using hot patches on the inner tube and a golden rod hand pump to air it up after you had 'fixed a flat" on the side of the road? And Plymouth pickups? And trailer hitches [often shop made] bolted on the rear bumper of your CAR.

I have a 1990 F250 that has wing windows.
Good old pickup, 460, Granny manual, 119K original miles, absolutely everything works, even the AC.

I pulled my work truck into a customer's drive about a year ago, and the mother and kids met me at my truck door. I crank down the window, and the kids lost it..."KOOL, THAT'S AWSOME RETRO!!!" (they had no idea, windows could work without an electric switch. Lol

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.

The RCA dog on the sidewalk in front of stores Yup, and that meant there'd be a "Tube Tester" inside the store displaying it. *Champion Spark Plug cleaners to bolt to your bench, below the big blue cabinet fulla their line of product *If you went the whole 9 yards, the pressure tester that fired the cleaned plugs, so's you could replace only those that needed replacing. I'm only 56 and the only one I didn't recognize on the quiz was Blackjack chewing gum. But I still feel older than dirt on some days.

O K, but I was grown when I saw my first Beetle, so they don't count.
