I'd rather watch a World Series game 7 than a dozen super bowls.

1970, when I was eight years old I got to go to my first pro ball game at Wrigley. I've been in love with them ever since. A lot of heartbreak in that time. This year was different than any other time. Several times late this season and post season I got chills watching them. That has never happened in my life. When they beat the Dodgers to go to the WS I actually teared up and got emotional. That has never happened. I got the feeling this is it, they're going to do it. They're going to win the World Series.

I've felt the same way throughout.
I was also a kid in Chicago watching them daily, year after year.

I won't make a prediction, I don't wanna jinx them, but I really hope that they can do this!

I am enjoying this series a great deal, but I do have to point out that there was some very bad baseball on display tonight, in terms of strategy, situational awareness, and execution,

I always enjoyed the Cubs in Spring Training, when I could see them. A long time ago but always a Cubs fan since.

I grew up with the A's being in my town for spring training. Eventually they went away and now we have the Cubs. I have been to more than a few spring training games and worked a ton of them. Never been to a regular season Cubs game. It's amazing how many Cubs fans we have here locally. Maybe a lot of midwest transplants or just homers from the spring training aspect.

I hope they finish the injuns off!

Another one here, although form a small town in northwest Illinois. Used to drive into Elgin and take the train the rest of the way to the game. I would have been like 6 or 7 at my first game at Wrigley and went to several more with my dad and family friends. Got a nice collection of 1991 and 1992 minty baseball cards I need to sort through.
