If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

I made a quick run to camp yesterday, grabbed a shovel and did my best to drain the water out of our worst ruts.

As somewhone suggested, possibly buschpilot... I have located a bunch of snowmobile tracks that have been cut so they can be rolled out like runner rugs or long reinforced rubber belts. I'm going to flatten out the ruts as best I can and roll out a 2 track of snowmobile track to cross our worse spots.

Heck Ryan, I think you are DA MAN for a couple 400+ shots on speed goats! Nice work!

Gopher, no it was on one of others on the list that you didnt get a chance to check out. It wasnt on my top 3 recommendations (I guess it should have been?). I drive by it on the way to my stand, I will see if anybody is hunting it this year.

Sounds like you need a couple of drain tiles in there ND! Maybe throw a few of them down? Just a random thunk.

Quick poll: How many are growing out the beard for Deer Huntin'? I am but I really don't like my beard so it won't last long.

That's a dandy Ryan! Good eats to be sure! Little guy looks like he's a gamer too.

I've been growin' da face hair since I was in NoDak 3 weeks ago. It's a little disconcerting that some of it's coming in white and in other places it's not coming in at all. Sort of like a failed crop. The missus says she'll be happy when hunting season is over and this homeless looking person who sleeps next her finally shaves.

Sighted in the deer rifles. The old Winny model 100 308 surprised me this year. She held a 1.25-1.5" group 3 times. She really likes those Fusions in 180gr. She wants to thank you guys for the suggestion last year. The 300WM A-Bolt is still right on with .75" groups. The fellows at the range are less than pleased with the BOSS however.

Gots me a doe tag this year too. Thinking of bring the .44 S&W up to camp to help faiclitate the introduction of Mrs. Doe to her new close friend, Mr. Freezer Paper. It's been years since I used it. Anyone know of a good round?

Thanks and good luck to the Manysoda boys. Hope ND doesn't make Ma get that pretty new truck dirty. T minus 12 days and counting for us.

Sounds nice in theory but it's state land where the crappy spots are. Or I could probably get some culvert pipe in there.

This translates to... My man card hasn't been returned so I can't grow decent facial hair.

One could just accidentally put a piece of drain tile in there.... grin

I can grow facial hair just fine, just don't like it. And after being awarded the Swamp Squid Badge of Courage, my man card cannot ever be taken away!

I cannot find my favorite orange fleece vest I use for deer hunting. Uggg.

I'm growing my face hairs out. It's about as long as its ever been and I'm about ready to scratch my face off. I try this every year and its shaved off before opener. Trying harder to get through the itchy stage this year though.
