Bought a 99 here on the fire the other day. I'm waiting on delivery.
I ordered some ammo from Midway and (I'm ashamed to admit this) bought the cheapest ammo I saw not realizing it was superformance ammo. I just noticed it was Hornady and SST bullets and ordered it. I figured the lower velocity of the 300 savage the SST would be alright.
Has anybody here used this stuff?

That SST bullet they use was specifically designed by Hornady for the .300 Savage. The Hornady bullet # is 30303.
Johno (down under) loves bullet and has taken game with it. I have reloaded with the bullet; it grouped well, but I have not taken any game with it.

Think you find a lot of likes for the Nosler Partition for the .300 here.

I have only one encounter with the superformance and I realize that's not much of a basis for opinion
but the superformance ammo in my cousin's 7-08 Weatherby lightweight doesn't group worth spit compared to 3 or 4 other brands.
I'm sure it'll be at least "minute of deer" and i'll have some brass to reload.

I shoot 1/2" groups thru a 6x Leupold vari XIII at 75 yards every time I take it to the range in Cadott, WI. Gun is a post war R, SST 150 gr red tip ammo @ $40 a box. At 100 yards I am 2 1/2" high, at 300 I am 2" low. Dam straight and thats no bullshit.

That trajectory doesn't work out. It's a 2740 fps load with a .37 BC bullet. With the stated 100 yard spec it's more like 7" low at 300.

Even a .5 BC bullet at 3000 fps doesn't shoot as flat as your statement.

In my experience, be it limited and not with the Hornady ammo, the 300 Savage should floor the deer with just about any bullet you can put on it. Focus on putting it where it counts and don't lose a minute of sleep over the bullet choice.

I shoot a 99 in 300 Savage that is very accurate even with basic Remington Core Locks. That said, my 99 HATES these rounds and groups them very poorly. I had great hopes for this round due to the higher velocity claims with no pressure increases but after my test, would not buy them.

Keith, ive just returned from a week away at the hideaway, I had a member here at the fire help me into a mint 300 sav take off barrel fromm a rem 700 classic.

I had it fitted to an 80s model 700 I had sitting around, managed to find some old 4064 powder, no longer sold here. 41 1/2 gr behind the SST and was thrilled with the accuracy.

Went out that evening one yealing sambar on the deck, about 80 yds walking up a fence line, gave hime one in the scone from behind, bang flop. Of course pretty much anything would have done the same thing for sure, but I love this bullet and sambar are big animals.

That superformance ammo is $73.00 for 20 over here, around $60.00 USD would love to try it though 2,750 fps is the stated velocity

Shot decent in my 99EG last week.
Have decided to build a Rem 600 into .300 savage.
Already sold the EG.
Took the lightfoot mount off.
Will post in classifieds.

I bought three boxes of Superformance 300 Savage ammo as it was on sale and I hoped it would make my 300s into 308s. I took a round apart and found it is loaded with 44.5 grains of what looks like Leverevolution powder. The ammo chronographed 2,600 fps on the nose in my 20" 99E barrel, down 140 fps from what is claimed. I haven't tried it in my 99 F with 22" barrel or 99 EG with 24" barrel. Accuracy in my rifle was poor, so I have loaded 41 grains of WW748 and a 180 grain round nose bullet for the 99 E. In my 99 F, a handload with 44 grains of Leverevolution powder and a 150 grain Hornady bullet (crimped with Lee factory crimp die) gave 2,642 fps, still 100 fps below specs. However, the load was .5 grain below the factory load and the barrel is only 22", so maybe I could match factory specs.

Bottom line is I haven't seen anything to write home about yet. One lot of Remington factory 150s gives 2,615 fps with good accuracy in the 99 F. I'll have to wring the Superformance ammo out in that rifle and see if it provides anything that my handloads or regular factory stuff doesn't. My handloads for the 99 F are either 40 grains of IMR 4064 for about 2,560 fps or 42 grains of WW748, a few fps slower. Both are accurate. For the record, the Remington 150 grain factory load contains 42 grains of a powder looking suspiciously like 748, and so does the Federal 150 grain load.
