Cool scales. Rick is a talented man. Almost as good a deer hunter as me, too The key to killing big deer is you got to have them. I killed a 2 year old 8 point when I was working in eastern ok that was the smartest deer I ever hunted. I wouldnt even look at him at home. I don't think I have put bolster on a knife in 5 years. That looks like a nice one. Thanks for posting

I have a very nice 8 pt. that is driving me crazy right now. Almost like he knows exactly where "bow range" begins. He is without a doubt 200 lbs.+. The deer in that particular area get real big. Pretty sure he is only 2.5 yrs. old. There is another larger buck out there also. But he has been hanging up further out across a bean field. He is a hog. More than likely both are bucks I let pass when they were younger.
Thus far, bow season has me a bit flustered. Been letting everything else walk. Tuesday gun season opens. Hope I get a crack at one of them before somebody else does. I have a very itchy trigger finger........

That's a beauty! Don't be afraid to post them in a little earlier upon receipt.

I been watching a good whitetail of and on this summer when I can find him. My oldest daughter 13 will be after him Saturday. I prob won't kill another deer this year. She has hunted 6 years and I let her kill whatever she wanted. This one will go in the 60's will see if she will wait until he makes a mistake. Her choice / when you cross that line the fun is really over. My youngest shot her first one this year. First one that walked by little 7 point and she would have got no better experience if it was a boon

If you remember, this is one of 10 you made as a group buy for members of Blaserbuds, 5 years ago. Thank you for the offer but this is a knife that I not only want to keep but would like to hand down to the next generation. A gem of a knife if I may say so.
