I'm reposting a question I asked up on the cowboy forum.

Are the buttstocks on the 1895 Cowboy and the 1895 Guide Gun interchangeable? Both are straight grip.

If so, I'm thinking I'll replace the 1895 Cowboy stock with a Guide Gun stock to get the recoil pad without having to hack my stock or take 2 days off work plus the cost to get it done by a gunsmith. I don't have tools to do anything but a hack job myself.

Tom
