I remember when deer camp was simple. Now I have the generator running and my computer and nook plugged in and the wife has her computer, tablet and phone charging. Ah for the good old days.

Wife shot a 200+# 7 pointer at 845. It is hanging in the tree. Life is good.

The Savage 99 .300 Savage took it's first deer (at least in my hands) at 11am; my first deer with a 99. Great old rifle. Had tender loins for dinner. Back out in the morning with my cousin. Good hunting everyone.

Got a nice 8 point this morning at first light. Big deer-around 175 lbs. Another 99 Savage in .300 Savage doing what it was meant for. Special thanks to MILES58 for his reloads. Sure got the job done and then some. The buck fell dead in his tracks.

Awesome Gopher! You sure deserve that from all the hard work you put in.
Camp Alexandria update from the stand: Lauren really wants a buck so She passed on a couple does and some fawns. Alas, no buck has volunteered yet.
I shot a really nice 8 pointer yesterday afternoon. Just passed up a medium 8. I so wanted that to go over to her!

Glad to hear the deer are there for the taking. I burned my buck tag on this one, so I guess I won't be up for ML season. Wasn't thinking-should have used my BIL's tag, as he won't get to hunt any more. Live and learn, I guess.

With the temps as warm as they are, I had no choice but to drop it off up in Emily for processing. They all ready had over 100 deer in for processing, and there's another processor in town too, and they were busy all day.

I got some pictures onto my facebook page. Can anyone tell me how to either move the pictures from my camera or my facebook page to here? It really sucks being computer illiterate.
