I am having trouble removing a spent primer from my TC Omega Z5. It is a new breech plug and I still have to use a screwdriver or knife to get it out. Any solutions ?

What primers are you using? CCI209 is what I prefer in TC rifles!

Try closing the action and striking the spent primer again with the firing pin.

My wife says I'm totally nuts, but I think I'm Semisane.

You forgot to mention your primer and in order to recommend a different primer, what powder and how much powder are you using?

I use the hottest primer (Federal 209A) in my T/C Omega with 90gr Goex FFF blackpowder. They stick also, but the powder goes bang in any kind of weather. I use these pliers below.

Winchesters can stick in my Omega. The more I shoot the more they stick. I just rap lightly against the stock and they usually fall out. Never a problem when I hunt, I always keep the breach plug freaky clean for hunting.

Primers sticking is why I use a pair of archery nock set piers at the range and hunting to yank out those sticking primers.

I use Winchesters W209 in my Omega, never had a problem with sticky primers.. just a little flick with the finger nail.
