I just picked up my Steyr-Mannlicher MIII Professional 7x64mm that I ordered from Cabelas. I was surprised when I picked it up when I discovered it has a 20 inch barrel. I have never seen a MIII Professional or regular Professional with a 20 inch barrel. Is this factory? I was pleasantly surprised to find out it has the single set trigger though. I am not if I like the short barrel or not. I am thinking if I keep it I may have the barrel threaded for my suppressor.

Never saw that...23.6" is standard. Crown should be blue.

Big question is will Cabelas take it back since the ad said 24 inch factory barrel?

All Steyr Professional M's (and MIII's) I have seen have the 23.6" tubes, and rounded crowns. Never flat or recessed.
I think you are making a good move not keeping this one.
