Purchased what I though to be a Savage 1907 pistol. (Cal .32)

Pistol has the straight back frame and grips of a 1907.

Yet it has the slide (small serrations) and 'cocking lever' of a 1917.

Does not have a grip safety, which I believe was only on the 1915.

What do I have??

Late 1907, it's the grips that determine 1907/1917, not the serrations. Confused me before Baileys book came out.

Nice gun!

Nice one!
It is a Model 1907. I believe the very last variation ~1920.

Confirmed. The last of 9 variations. 1919 or so.
This was a later model and also plentiful model, thus more can be found in great condition.
Scratch this one off the list. 8 to go. Then the 380's.
You will enjoy the book.
