Demand that Obama issue a mass pardon And if I understand the pardon process, you can only be pardoned for crimes already committed, and therefore the day after the pardon you are still illegally in the USofA.. Maybe as part of the deal they could come by the ICE office and pick up their worthless pardon.................

Article I read a couple months ago said it was impossible because the President can pardon federal crimes, but immigration is a federal civil violation rather than criminal. Not in his power to pardon it.

How can you pardon anyone who is not a citizen? I did not realize a presidents powers extended that far.

How can you pardon anyone who is not a citizen? I did not realize a presidents powers extended that far. It does, actually. It extends to persons who have or may have committed crimes in or against the US.
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

So they get pardoned for being here illegally and the very next day they are breaking the law again. A pardon doesn't make you immune to any subsequent violations of the same law.
