W.D.M.Bell's 7mm Mauser and 6.5 Mannlicher.
Townsend Whelen's '03 sporter, any one of them.
The .405 Winchester TR took to Africa.
Any one of the muskets fired at Lexington/Concord, April, 1776.
The '03 Springfield that was issued to my Uncle John in late 1940, which he then carried through to the end from N.Africa, Sicily, Normandy, and into Germany with the 1st Inf Div. Actually, that particular rifle should be at the top of my list. Sorry Gary, your'e gonna get stuck in a bidding war over Bells 6.5! Joe.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Geronimo's trapdoor SRC that he was pictured with when he surrendered, Kit Carson's rifle. Lewis and Clark's air rifle.

I don't have much, but my needs are covered. What do the more advanced collectors here still need for their collections? Are there some rare cookies that stump the pros? A Bit more time to use what i got. Lord willing.

A local couple just got head-on'd by a drunk driver, one dead, one injured. I haven't forgotten almost choking to death a year or two ago! I went from working to dying in 30 seconds. Priorities might need to be re-adjusted periodically.

Best of health to you Stever. Unobtainables?Seems like every 1895 Savage carbine, Burton Spiller's 20 gauge Parker, Larry Koller's M1920 250-3000, and as sited by another poster a Roy Chapman Andrew M1920 in a 300 would be a nice finishing touch. However, I just spent a month in NB on the Miramichi enjoying the autumn colors and sporting life in good health and spirits so everything from here on in is an even greater bonus. Last week hunted deer in ON with my oldest son, Young-grouser. Our venison tags are filled. All good!

Not for me as I was concentrating on woodcock, grouse and gathering late season oyster mushrooms. Next year! A large wing-shot drummer in NB.

Something other than a .300 Savage, as I have 4 of the darned things One of the early 1899's in .30-30 or even a .250-3000 would be nice, even if finish worn a bit. Prefer one without a tang crack. I pulled the .300 takedown out of the safe last night. Either it or the 1920 .300 might have to kill a deer this year.

Its too bad there isn't a picture of it in Shots At Whitetails. Larry's son, Paul, told me that over the years Larry had 3 or 4 1920s in 250-3000 and at least 1 20/26 in 300. PS - Larry Koller trivia. According to Paul, Larry regularly stamped his telephone number in the wood under the buttplate. My 1920 is stamped "Mtown 5027".
