You didn't mention what powder you want to use, so here are three good suggestions for the 160 gr Flex-Tip bullet:

Varget....30 grs.

IMR-3031...27 grs.

H-4895....28 grs.

These are mild loads for your old rifle. If the action doesn't cycle properly add up to a full grain until you get good cycling. (These load suggestions are at least 2 grains under max load suggestions in the manual). Have fun.

Thank you guys! I'm using 30 grains of IMR 4064. I was just wanting to use bullets I had around that I wasn't using. I think I'll just keep with what in doing. Wasn't wanting to make this a 300 yard rifle as it is still original, no scope. It was my great grandfathers rifle and I just wanted to get it back in the game. Thank you guys for all the feedback.
