Hey guys,
Wondering what everyone is using as their scope base for a tikka t3x.. posting for a friend it isn't my rifle, says has built in dovetail, bolt opens 70* and a guy at shop recommend a picitiny rail..

Any help is appreciated, I haven't seen the gun so I am of no use to him so I'm posting this

Like I posted on another posting in the optics section...Near rail and alphamount. Probably the most expensive but the best.

Or keep it simple and forget bases and screws. The new style Warne Tikka rings are rock solid and dependable.

I wish i could put an alphahunter on every rifle I own . That said a base that locks into the pilot hole on the reciever is preferable to all others and that is exactly what the alphahunter does as well as mountain tactical rail(Cheap azz material IMHO) and the sako optilock system.
