I'm pulling bullets from the 7saum cases to turn them into 6.5saum.
The case holds 60grs of very fine powder for the 160gr partitions, what type of powder is It?
Can I use it for my 280AI or my
6.5saum?
I have 500 remington 7saum cases that I have to pull all the bullets and powder don't want to throw it out if I can use it properly.

It's called "throw it away" or "fertilizer" powder.

You won't be able to "use" it effectively, it is not canister grade powder.
You can use it for fireforming brass or other general uses. I pulled down some 7x57 ammo and used the pull down powder to fireform 7-30 Waters, 257 AI (with pistol bullets) and something else (I forget). I still have a half gallon jug of it left for just these purposes.

If you need to form brass for your 280AI; I would fill the case about 2/3 to 3/4 full and seat a light cast bullet on it. After 2-3 shots, you'll know if you need to go hotter or back off.

I wish I knew. My Model Seven 7 SAUM loves it. I wish Remington still offered that ammo.
