A S&W SW22 Victory would be another to consider. They breakdown super easy and are reliable accurate pistols. My brother in law has one and I burn up most of his ammo every time I visit.

Ruger MKII and don't look at any other POS... Hint..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

FreeMe: The new MK-IV's also have the ambidextrous safety, spring ejected magazines (for those of us troubled by numb and/or arthritic fingers), fiber optic (changeable colors) sights (in the Hunter model) and the trigger is AT LEAST as good as my older MK's if not better. I will take some out and compare them when I get a chance. Again (I have posted this before on a couple other threads here) the machining is just flat out amazing - I hope it carries through to the reaming and rifling of the barrel - I will check this with my friends Hawkeye Borescope soon as well. AND... they just LOOK better to me. Go look at one of these in a shop (in good light!) and disassemble it and look at the amazing machining "inside" the MK-IV. You will be impressed. Scanning gunbroker for some of the vintage High Standards might be worth the trouble if you're a fan of .22 auto pistols.

Hold into the wind VarmintGuy Thanks, VarmintGuy. I'm going to look into it. It will have a way to go to beat my MKIII Hunter with VQ and Clark internals though. I'll be interested to see how yours performs.

I have both a BM and a Mk III Hunter. Both have been great guns for me.

His shoulder rig is modular in that you can swap out multiple holsters and go from belt carry to a Tanker style rig.

They remain pretty nice in my opinion.

Just hope your Buckmark never needs parts.
Mine is now out of commission, "Parts on backorder, no estimated date of delivery".
Not acceptable for a current production firearm.

Recoil/firing pin spring assembly Front sight screw
Brownell's and Browning
I'm not going to chase around trying to find parts for a current production firearm. That's not the point. It isn't urgent, it's the principle of a manufacturer providing reliable support.
