I bought a limb saver loaded up 5 rounds of 400 grain solids with 90 grains IMR 4451. Approximate velocity 2340fps, I'd guess. I shot these loads off hand and no I don't think I flinched. I used the iron sights and disintegrated rock's at < 100 yards.
I have a 7mm RM Ruger 77 that hurts my face when I shoot it. I thought this 416 would be worse. It is much better. No issues at all.
I re-stocked the 7mm RM Ruger 77 and now I'm quite happy with both Rugers and this rifle is no longer for sale. And it is now used.
Maybe all I ever do is bust rocks but it does a real fine job doing it. Thanks for all who've expressed interest!
