Well, some guy from NC decided to go investigate the pizza place with his assault rifle.

And "fake news" is the new phrase for Conspiracy Theory.

The MSM found it necessary to discredit everything not brought to you by them...

Regardless, if you've worked with trafficing victims, none of this would surprise you.

In early November, as Wikileaks steadily released piles of emails from Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta, one contact caught the attention of prankster sites and people on the paranoid fringes.

James Alefantis is the owner of Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant in Washington. He's also a big Democratic Party supporter and raised money for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He was once in a relationship with David Brock, an influential liberal operative.
Alefantis - who's never met Clinton - appeared in the Podesta emails in connection with the fundraisers.

And from these thin threads, an enormous trove of conspiracy fiction was spun.

Users of 4chan, a message board known for free speech, extreme content and trollish behaviour, began posting speculation and supposed connections gleaned from internet searches. They trawled Alefantis' Instagram feed for pictures of children and the modern art which lines his restaurant's walls, and dreamt up a paedophile sex ring involving prominent politicians and political donors.

The conspiracy theory bubbled up from 4chan onto the mainstream internet when a Reddit user posted a long document with all of the "evidence" several days before the US election. It first appeared on a section of the site popular with Donald Trump supporters from the extremist white nationalist alt-right.

The fake story remained the preserve of 4chan and alt-right Reddit until mid-November, when Turkish pro-government media outlets suddenly took an intense interest.

Their tweets were in Turkish, but they used the English hashtag: #Pizzagate.

As outlined by Efe Kerem Sozeri of the Daily Dot, supporters of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cottoned onto the tale as a way to accuse opponents of hypocrisy.

He told us the details of some of the things his family did , they ran ads in newspapers in atlanta -birmingham , al. nashville and as far a dallas Tx. . The newpaper ads claimed to be a home for wayward kids -runaways -troubled kids etc ..
They had a toll free number and would make it sound great like a hip place for these young kids to come to . They'd tell the kids that called to bring their friends you'll love it here etc. -etc. then drive a van and pick them up .
Once there the kids were drugged and kept as sex slaves for high paying perverts according to him many were politicians and other people who were "suppose" to be leaders . High ranking military officers also .
They would rent the kids -boys and girls- out for pervert parties etc. .
As I sat listening he leaned forward as his voice crackled -and said -it's no wonder I'm so F'up . He said the kids would just disappear -he didn't know if they had sold them or killed them -as he wiped tears from his eyes.
Many of the people [perverts] were then blackmailed by his dad and their gang of scum .
There was a bar on the same grounds where isle of capri casino is located -it's called "the point" in biloxi , perverts could go "around back" and get a room with a kid for sex .
Robbie said they extorted 100's of thousands of dollars from people from all over the country -according to him --many in politics . We all know the old saying about politics & strange bedfellows . Disgusting story I know but there it is ,, heartwrenching to think of the plight of those children .
SO anybody who thinks this type stuff doesn't happen -well I can tell you -it does .

It's waiting for a different DOJ, for one.

Who believes who should be castigated? I would wager that most folks reading about this pizzagate stuff, don't know and likely have NEVER heard about the people who seem to be involved.
The slippery slope is in assuming, that people who find grains of truth in this reporting, originally hated the people involved in the first place. I'm seeing words and assumptions being put in people's mouths by your statement.
No intention to cause a fight, just calling it as I see it.

I have experienced being castigated for something I didn't do, by people who just wanted to besmurch my reputation, for whatever heinious reason. When you work around people who aren't honorable adults, that happens. But, what your are referencing here is not the case.
Honest, good people can become so shocked by this stuff, that their minds attempt to block it with a strong denial filter. But blinders are what pedophiles expect people to wear.
