Jeff,

You can get a doe tag for any zone where they're legal and still ML them there.

So I could buy a tag for the Alex area, even though I've filled my primary tag?

Depends. My cabin has bonus tags available. Check out those zones.

Are you free this weekend? Depending on what family decides, I may still go up. It would be cheap, as the hunting land is the back lot at my cabin.

If I go up, I want to go reasonably early Friday to hunt Friday night.

Jeff,

You can muzzle loader hunt for does is if you do have a spot where there are doe tags, and you have one.

Yep, if the tags are "extra" tags.

I'd love to go, but my flight back from Pa. doesn't get in until Friday evening.

Jeff, yes, you can buy a bonus tag for the Alex area. got a little snow left up here so you can see where they have been moving.

Well, at least the wind will be perfect for the property I will be hunting this weekend.

Good luck to all you Minnesotans going out with the smoke-pole!

Meeting up with big jelly and justin (capt bangflop) at camp tonight. Runswithscisors and Playswithmatches will join us tomorrow sometime.

Any of the Mn. boys score with the front stuffers? Hate to see deer season winding down here. This pretty much signals four months of cold.

All I have to show for a lot of time out in a tree was a little doe walking by, and a nice-bodied fork that should grow up nicely.

Considering all the deer I saw during "horrible" conditions for rifle this year, I can't believe I put in the time and didn't see anything worth shooting in a zone that's managed and has more, bigger deer in pretty much perfect wind and temps conditions.

But, any time in the woods is time well spent.....

No deer hunting for me. I was after Chinese Ditch Chickens in ND. They got some serious snow out there! Tough walking but we got birds. The yellow lab puppy had a bunch of nice retrieves. Is there anything better than watching a bird dog figure it out????

Waiting and hoping for a good Chickenbuck report. Hopefully they ventilated a couple!

5 deer were seen but no shots were taken. We had an OUTSTANDING time though!

Thanks again ND, RWS and PWM. It was a blast!

I'm headed up to the Mora area to chase a few if possible. It's been some slim deer sightings up there lately though. But what the hell, the Ron Diaz' will be in the freezer when we get back in.
