Is it a done deal? Oklahoma is the [bleep] (next to Texas smile ), when it comes to common sense.

Texas? Ya mean the only State in the Union that attaches a Felony to carrying a firearm into a business that serves alcohol ( not consuming just entering) that Common Sense Texas.

Yep, he might want to do a little more homework before he makes such a broad statement that is incorrect.

I suggest you do the same, being you live in Texas.

Businesses posting a compliant "51% sign" - It is a felony to carry a firearm while on the premises of a business that makes more than 51% of its revenue from the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption (colloquially "bars", "nightclubs", "taverns", "saloons", etc.). A person with a CHL that is in violation has a defense that the establishment did not post the proper signage, as required by the Government Code section 411.204. The proper signage contains similar language as is required of all liquor license holders, but with the addition of a couple of words to prohibit licensed as well as unlicensed carry, and a background containing a red "51%" to make it obvious at a glance that the sign applies to CHL holders.

You can look up the actual Statute yourself.

Your statement. Texas? Ya mean the only State in the Union that attaches a Felony to carrying a firearm into a business that serves alcohol ( not consuming just entering) that Common Sense Texas.

The statute from the above link. All alcoholic beverages retailers must post one of two firearms signs. One sign is intended for use on the types of premises where a holder of a concealed hand gun license may lawfully possess a concealed hand gun: establishments licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption or, if licensed for sale for on-premises consumption, establishments whose alcohol sales are 50% or less of total gross receipts. It warns that unlicensed possession of a concealed weapon is a felony.

The second sign, the 51% sign, is to be posted on the premises of establishments where the possession of any concealed weapon is illegal. These are establishments that are licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption whose alcohol sales constitutes more than half of gross receipts. These signs have 51% in large red letters superimposed over the warning and the warning notes that possession of a concealed weapon on the premises is a felony.

As a general rule, a true restaurant will have alcohol sales that are less than 50% of gross receipts and would be expected to post the first sign. However, if its alcohol sales are greater than 50% of gross receipts, then it would have to post the second.

The bold emphasis is mine. I suggest that you learn to read and not cherry pic when you attempt to justify such a broad and incorrect statement. You dig a deeper hole.

...and Texas law states that carrying past a 51% sign, is a Felony.

..but you are correct, I should have said ,

Texas is the only State in the Union that makes carrying into a bar or a business that makes over 51% of it income from alcohol a FELONY, that common sense Texas.
