Kimber 84M Montana 6.5 Creedmoor. Leupold VX3 3.5-10x40, Talley LW Lows. Working this weekend. Up here at this time of year I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. Will try to get it sighted in on Monday or Tuesday before next week's bull moose hunt. (I will probably use my Kimber 8400 Montana 300WSM.)

Nice.
Where did you grab it from?

If I had a Creedmoor Montana it would replace the three I have in 243, 257 and 7mm-08........ probably a smart thing to do.....three for one.

Very nice rifle! I doubt it was much of a sale for one of those with such a great scope too. I'm sure you told your wife it was but we know better here.

"Honey, its 50% off" I've never actually bought a rifle that wasn't at least 50% off, most have been closer to 75% off on closeout going out of business sale.

This rifle is now blooded, but not by me. My father had a limited entry bull moose tag, which I partnered on. My Dad and brother were together and Dad was packing the Montana Creedmoor. I missed out on the action as I was a little distance away. Regardless, the Creedmoor spoke and the young bull moose died.
If it wasn't -30C, I may have tried to locate the bullet. It was in there somewhere. The 129Interlock did not pass through. We did the gutless method.

Killing moose with the 6.5 CM and using a 129 Hornady. I may have to think of mine as more than an 'up through deer' rifle!

Nice rifle!
You have to be more dedicated than me to hunt in -30 weather!

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

Nice rifle!
You have to be more dedicated than me to hunt in -30 weather! That's Centigrade, not F.. BIG difference.. FWIW, I have hunted in NW WI when, at 4:00 am, we got out of the truck and began the walk into the woods.. The temp was -32F... But I was a LOT younger then - like, about 38-39 years younger.. Another section of our party went further north to Solon Springs.. IIRC, the temp there at the time was something south of -40F... And we thought THEY were crazy..
