Will a 9-twist 260 Remington stablize the Nosler 129 grain Long Range Accubond?

Any loads out there?

I used them in a 1 in 8 twist 260 Rem with 44 gr H 4350 .110" off the lands so experimenting with seating depth can help.

I can't see why the 1 in 9 twist wouldn't work, I believe Nosler made sure it will work when they designed that bullet. Not sure about the 142 gr ABLR in that twist though.

A 1-9 twist is plenty with the 129 ABLR.

50 grains of H4831 works pretty well.

The nosler 8 says it will of course it says the 142 was tested with a 1 in 9. I question that as the 142 ABLR is longer than the 127 LRX and it would not stabilize in my 1 in 9 at sea level. The 127 lrx is 1.397 long and the 129 ABLR is 1.368.

I would think the 129 will be fine.

Check out bergers stability calculator I could not get it to paste it says 1 in 8 recommended. Reality is always different. My 1 in 9 6.5-06 will stabilize the 140 VLD which berger does not recommend.

Good luck and shoot straight
