He was entertaining back in the early ESPN days. He seems to have succumbed to the same thing that ruins many columnists. When dealing with their original field, he sports, them life in general, they do well. Somewhere along the line, they (or someone else) decides that they should branch out to political commentary, and they go straight to hell.
