Thanks, Yes I have googled him and he mentored Mr. Breeding In his rifle building business and he was a big bore guru. I just don't see many of his rifles online and for sure not in Arkansas. I would like to see some more of his rifles.

There was a .460 VH for sale on gunbroker 3-4 months ago. It was tested by Bob Hagel and he wrote an article in Handloader,IIRC.

That is a nice looking gun, by nice I mean apparent quality and lines. Always though the 308 norma made more design sense than the 300 win mag. I dont get to make those decisions. So, we are stuck with 300 wm. No big deal, I guess.

I should look in my old letter file as Gil and I corresponded for quite awhile about his rifles and wildcats. If I find any of his photos or brochures I'll post them.

I shot this rifle yesterday and all I can say is WOW Mr. Van Horn built a fine rifle.

Seems to me Van Horn was located around Sacramento. i used to see him and his artistry at the Great American gun show
