I'm down to a handful, and even though other rimfire ammo is available, I can't find any CB Caps. I picked up a box of the CCI Quiets but they are not as quiet as the CB's. Just wondering if CCI stopped making, suspended production to catch up, or the Quiets have replaced them.

There are only 5 places on line right now in the ammoseek webcrawler that have any kind of 22 short.

Meanwhile there are hundreds of sources for 22LR.

And that means what? Remington, CCI and others make long and LR CB caps as well. Doubt the box I bought today had been in storage long

It is probably seasonal manufacturing. Winchester makes 8x57mm brass ~once a year.

I asked the head secretary when she puts out mechanical pencils in the supply room. She said she put 5 in there a week and they disappear in an hour.

When some distributors get 22 shorts, they sometimes hang on to them for a while.

Been alot of CCI CB shorts around here, haven't seen CB longs for like 8 years or so. I too liked the longs but since went to the CCI quite 22, use them out of a 28" barrel like on my 52's and 40x's and there super quiet. PM me if your interested in CCI CB shorts and I can pick you up some, I think the price was like $10.00 for a box of 100.

I've seen the CCI CB longs at Wal-Mart in the past week or so.. and plenty of other 22lr ammo as well. CCI, Winchester, Remington, SK, and ely... Price is another matter.... still way higher than it should be..

I really like the Remington CBees with the hollow point for possums in the trash cans. They do a good job but don't put holes in the can. If you see any of them around I would like to be hooked up

I would love to find CCI CB Longs or Quiet .22 on a store shelf in my area. Maybe they'll be back before too long.

Quiet 22's and CB shorts are all over centeral PA, Stingers are coming back too. Our local Wal Mart has quiet 22's for $3.49 a box of 50, CB shorts are $9.69 box of 100, Stinger are $6.46 for a box of 50. They have a good supply of all 3 as of around 3:30PM today.
